As a key high-tech enterprise in China, Jiangsu Highstar Battery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Highstar) is one of the 100 largest electronic component companies and the biggest rechargeable battery manufacturers. We specialize in producing sintered Ni-Cd, MH-Ni batteries and liquid-state Li-ion batteries. Highstar is an appointed manufacturer for the military in China. With assets of RMB200 million, our company has a modern plant of 40,000sqm and staffs more than 300 senior technicians.

Our alkaline battery production line was set up in 1992. This line epitomized advanced technology in producing half-sintered Ni-Cd batteries. In order to meet the market's demands and improve quality continuously, we imported ED equipment and absorbed technology from Israel Tadiran Company to replace the original ones in 1995. Moreover, in 1997, we imported testing devices and automatic assembly lines for cylindrical batteries respectively from Arbin Co. and RD Co. in the USA. In 2000, a full set of sintered plate production lines from Varta Co. were introduced, including a sinter oven for positive and negative plates, a vacuum impregnation system, a linear-formation for negative and positive plates and the second treatment system of plates. All of these push Highstar to reach world advanced level.

Our annual output is 100 million Ahs. Our products can be divided into three kinds including Ni-Cd, MH-Ni and Li-ion batteries with more than 200 sizes. Our sale network covers over 40 countries and districts in the world. Our products have been appointed by many famous companies.

Highstar brings new ideas in management continuously. We passed the evaluations of ISO9002-94 and ISO9001-2000 in 1997 and 2001. Furthermore, we have passed the authentication of Military Project Quality System. Parts of products have obtained UL, CE, GS, and TUV certificates.
